Textio Launches AI Interviewer and Integrity Signals on Lavalier Platform to Scale Screening and Combat Hiring Fraud
NewsData.io · United States · Sep 22, 2026
Textio has launched two new features on its Lavalier interview intelligence platform: AI Interviewer, which conducts structured first-round candidate conversations at scale, and Integrity Signals, which detects fraud across the entire hiring funnel rather than only at the identity-verification stage. A field experiment across roughly 70,000 applicants found that AI-conducted first-round screens led to 12% more job offers and 18% better 30-day retention, attributed to greater consistency in covering interview guides. The fraud-detection capability is positioned as a response to a growing organized-fraud threat, with Gartner predicting one in four candidate profiles worldwide could be fake by 2028. Both features are generally available now.
