Gap Inc. Deploys AI Hiring Tool Bridgette for 200K Seasonal Applications
NewsData.io · United States · Oct 22, 2026
Gap Inc. has scaled Bridgette, an AI-powered virtual hiring assistant built on Paradox technology and integrated with Workday Recruiting, across its stores and distribution centers ahead of the holiday season. The tool has already engaged nearly 45,000 candidates and scheduled over 7,000 interviews in a pilot covering 100+ stores and six distribution centers. The National Retail Federation projects U.S. retailers will hire 325,000–375,000 seasonal workers for the 2026 holiday season, down slightly from roughly 356,000 in 2025. Recruiters and staffing firms serving retail clients should note the growing adoption of AI-driven screening and scheduling tools that compress hiring timelines and reduce administrative burden.
