Transfyr, a Cambridge, MA-based AI and life sciences technology company, has launched with $25 million in seed funding led by General Catalyst to build an observability platform for real-world scientific execution. The platform captures hands-on bench science and converts it into machine-readable data to improve reproducibility, tech transfer, and workforce training across pharma, diagnostics, and academic research. Co-founded by former Ginkgo Bioworks AI head Anna Marie Wagner and ARPA-H founding director Renee Wegrzyn, the company explicitly targets workforce development and is already partnered with the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center on credentialing and training tools. Transfyr is actively hiring engineers and AI researchers in Cambridge.
