SignalHire Data: Global Sales Hiring Interest Up 8.5% in 2026, but US, Canada, and India All Decline
NewsData.io · United States · Sep 14, 2026
SignalHire's analysis of its own recruiting search data shows global sales-role search volume rose 8.5% year-over-year in 2026, but the gain is concentrated outside major individual markets — the US fell 26.7%, Canada dropped 58%, and India declined 42.6%. High-value specialist roles such as Sales Leadership (+107%), Technical Sales (+51%), and SDR (+55%) are driving the global growth, while generalist and transactional sales roles are contracting sharply. The divergence signals that recruiters and staffing firms should shift sourcing strategies toward specialist and AI-enabled sales talent rather than generalist headcount in North American and South Asian markets.
