Unifor members at General Motors facilities in Ontario have ratified new three-year collective agreements with strong majorities — 80.5% for the GMCC agreement and 96.5% for the CAMI agreement. The contracts cover more than 4,600 workers and include 3% annual wage increases, bringing full-rate production wages to $50.20/hour and Skilled Trades to $62.71/hour. Key investment commitments total over C$1.1 billion across Oshawa and St. Catharines facilities, with the idled CAMI Assembly Plant designated as first consideration for Canadian Armed Forces defense contracts. Income Maintenance Plan protection for laid-off members is extended through May 2028.
