Tata Consultancy Services plans to ensure roughly 80% of future hires possess digital and AI capabilities, with 25–30% carrying specialized AI skills, as the company scales its AI services business. TCS COO Arathi Subramanian confirmed the firm added 4,500 employees in Q2, with AI-linked work now accounting for approximately 10% of total revenue. CEO K. Krithivasan noted that experienced professionals with domain knowledge may be better positioned to apply AI than younger candidates with tool familiarity alone. For IT staffing firms, this signals rising client demand for candidates who can integrate AI into business workflows, not just use generative AI tools.
