Swedish game developer Star Stable Entertainment has laid off 20% of its staff as part of a cost-reduction restructuring effort. Interim CEO James Watkins cited the need to reduce operating costs and refocus resources to secure the long-term viability of the company's flagship title, Star Stable Online. Majority shareholder Nordisk Games, which holds a 57% stake acquired through investments beginning in 2018, is part of the company's ownership structure through which these decisions are being navigated.
