Sequoia Backs AI Workforce Security Startup Cymphony with $30M Series A
TechCrunch · United States · Sep 9, 2026
Cymphony has raised a $30 million Series A co-led by Sequoia Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund, valuing the startup at over $100 million. The platform addresses a growing enterprise security gap by giving security teams unified visibility into human employees, AI agents, and non-human identities accessing corporate systems and data. For staffing and recruiting firms increasingly deploying AI agents in candidate sourcing, screening, and placement workflows, Cymphony's emergence signals that AI workforce governance is becoming a distinct compliance and risk-management category. The startup counts KKR and other large enterprises among its early customers and has reached seven-figure ARR within its first year of sales.
