Ruiz Foods Cuts 176 Jobs at Dinuba Manufacturing Plant

Ruiz Foods notified 176 employees on Sept. 2 that their positions at its Dinuba, California manufacturing facility will be eliminated effective Nov. 4, citing a need to align production capacity with anticipated customer demand. The plant, which employs roughly 1,400 workers and produces El Monterey frozen food products, will also shift to a five-day production schedule. Affected workers will receive severance packages, COBRA coverage, and the option to apply for openings at other Ruiz Foods facilities. WARN Act notices were issued at least 60 days ahead of the effective date.
