Oracle Reportedly Preparing Another Round of Layoffs Ahead of September 1

Oracle is reportedly asking managers to identify employees for a new round of job cuts before September 1, months after eliminating approximately 21,000 full-time roles in March 2026. The March cuts reduced Oracle's headcount from roughly 162,000 to 141,000, affecting divisions including Oracle Health, Sales, Cloud, Customer Success, and NetSuite. The latest reductions are driven by cost discipline as Oracle redirects capital toward AI infrastructure, having spent $55.7 billion on capital projects in FY2026. Some teams could face double-digit percentage cuts, though Oracle has not confirmed scope or timing.
