A survey of nearly 800 chartered accountants (CAs) in Leinster, Ireland, conducted by the Chartered Accountants Leinster Society in partnership with recruitment firm Barden, found average total compensation reached €130,960 in 2026 — 20% above 2018 levels. Consecutive annual pay increases from 2021 through 2025 have driven sustained post-pandemic wage growth across all experience brackets, with 88% of respondents reporting compensation gains over the past three years. The findings also highlight rapid AI adoption, with 53% of CAs now using AI in daily operations, a 28% year-over-year increase, and continued demand for remote working flexibility.
