JobsOhio Launches Technician Path Program, Offering Employers Up to $10,000 Per Trained Worker

JobsOhio has unveiled the Technician Path incentive program, part of the $300 million JobsOhio Experiential Learning Initiative, providing Ohio employers up to $10,000 per employee who completes an approved earn-and-learn training pathway. The program targets in-demand technician roles across advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and aerospace & defense — sectors where five positions go unfilled for every one technician trained. Eligible employers must be located in Ohio, operate in a targeted industry, and pay participating workers at least $20 per hour, with a required 1:1 employer match at later milestones. Staffing agencies and workforce partners operating in Ohio should note the program's concierge support structure and apprenticeship connections as potential pipeline opportunities.
