The U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration has awarded Build Pagosa $2.7 million to construct a regional workforce development facility focused on healthcare and skilled trades training in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The grant brings the organization to 90% of its $6.5 million fundraising goal. The center will provide hands-on training and industry-recognized credentials in a rural area facing persistent labor shortages in construction and healthcare. The facility is slated to be built on the campus of Pagosa Springs High School and will involve partnerships with community colleges and regional industry partners.
