BLS Projections: These Industries Will Lead Hiring Over the Next Decade
NewsData.io · United States · Sep 5, 2026
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects total U.S. employment will grow by 5.9 million jobs from 2025 to 2035, reaching 176.2 million, amid slower overall labor market expansion. A small number of sectors—including healthcare, AI-related industries, and utilities—are expected to drive the bulk of new job creation, with one sector alone accounting for more than a third of all new positions. For staffing agencies, these projections signal where long-term placement demand and specialization investment will be most rewarding over the coming decade.
