Atlas HXM Index: EU Leads on Visa Access, Trails on Hiring Ease
NewsData.io · United States · Oct 15, 2026
Atlas HXM has launched three global workforce indexes scoring 130+ countries on hiring conditions, work visa access, and contractor compliance, finding that visa accessibility and hiring ease are only weakly correlated (0.32). The U.S. ranks as a top-five hiring destination but falls to 100th of 136 on visa mobility, while France scores in the top ten for visa access but lands in the bottom third for employment conditions. The indexes also highlight contractor misclassification risk, flagging countries like Spain where visa access is high but contractor-versus-employee distinctions are among the least forgiving globally. For staffing firms managing cross-border placements or advising clients on global workforce strategy, the tool offers country-level guidance on mobility timelines, employment law complexity, and contractor compliance exposure.
