Amadeus FiRe Cuts 2026 Outlook After Permanent Placement Revenue Falls 30%+ in Q2

NewsData.io · United States · Aug 6, 2026

German staffing firm Amadeus FiRe lowered its 2026 revenue guidance to €350–365 million (from €362–394 million) after a sharp deterioration in its Personnel Services segment, with permanent placement revenue declining more than 30% in Q2 amid postponed hiring decisions and lengthening recruitment processes. The company reduced its fee-earner headcount by approximately 19% year over year and reported a first-half net loss of €3.6 million, versus net income of €4.7 million a year earlier. CEO Robert von Wülfing cited weak business confidence, subdued investment activity, and delayed customer decisions in Germany—where unemployment hit 6.4%—as the primary drivers. Temporary staffing volumes showed signs of stabilization but have not yet returned to growth, while the Training segment outperformed and is expected to drive second-half improvement.
